Agreement to these terms
These terms govern your access to and use of Medical Alert. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you use Medical Alert for another person, you confirm that you have authority to manage their information and permissions.
The Medical Alert service
Medical Alert helps you organize a Medical ID, create privacy-based profile views, manage trusted contacts, and provide QR access to approved emergency information.
Features may evolve over time. We may improve, replace, or discontinue features while taking reasonable steps to protect account access and information.
Emergency limitations
Medical Alert supports access to information; it is not an emergency dispatch service, medical provider, or substitute for professional judgment. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
QR visibility, device connectivity, browser permissions, contact availability, and third-party communication services can affect whether information or notifications are available. Do not rely on Medical Alert as the only source of medical identification or emergency communication.
Your account responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential, maintaining accurate information, and reviewing your Medical ID after health or contact details change.
- Use accurate emergency and medical information.
- Assign profile access only to people you trust.
- Keep your QR and signed-in devices reasonably secure.
- Notify support if you suspect unauthorized account access.
Medical ID content and permissions
You retain responsibility for the information you enter. You grant Medical Alert the limited permission needed to display and process that information according to your settings.
You must not upload unlawful, misleading, harmful, or rights-infringing content, or use another person’s information without appropriate permission.
Acceptable use
You may not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, misuse QR routes, impersonate another person, probe security controls, or use Medical Alert in a way that harms another person or violates applicable law.
Availability and changes
We aim to provide a dependable experience, but availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, connectivity, device settings, or third-party services may cause interruption. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or service integrity.
Disclaimers and liability
Medical Alert is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not provide medical advice or guarantee that information entered by a user is complete, accurate, or clinically appropriate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Medical Alert is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service.
Account closure
You may stop using Medical Alert and request account deletion through the available account controls. We may restrict or end access for material violations of these terms, security threats, or unlawful use.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The updated date at the top shows when the current terms took effect. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
